INSTEP Strategy & Corporate Services (SCS), PETRONITA & YPC recently organised a beach cleaning campaign at Pantai Sauh, Batu Rakit, involving 120 staff volunteers. The volunteers had successfully collected trash along a kilometre stretch of shoreline.
Held under the theme “Beach and Breathe”, the event provided INSTEP staff an opportunity to step away from the corporate setting to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, and contribute to environmental conservation by removing trash from the beach.
“Beach cleaning has been our annual tradition, especially since INSTEP is located close to the coastline. This event symbolises our ongoing commitment to giving back to Mother Nature, in line with SDG 15: Life on Land through promoting waste reduction, raising awareness on climate impacts, and protecting coastal biodiversity,” said En. Azhar b. Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of INSTEP.
